Post by: AnsisMalins on 2012-October 16, 15:52:16
I use:
Visual Studio 2008
MonoDevelop
GVIM
GIMP

I haven't settled a game engine or a set of libraries yet.

I use:

Code::Blocks/Dev-C++
Eclipse
Sketchup (For 3D Maps)
3DS Max (For all other 3D utilities)
Photoshop CS6
GarageBand/Mixcraft 5

I've been trying things out like SDL and Allegro lately, but I'm not sure. Allegro is feeling nice, though.

IDEs:
Eclipse - My current workhorse. OK for the both the C and Java I do.
NetBeans - My favorite Java IDE. Not that good with C though :(
Visual Studio - My favorite overall IDE. Don't use it anymore since there's no Linux version :-\

Editors:
gedit - Simple, easy, comes with GNOME.
nano - Simple, easy, not mentioned in flamewars.
vim - I don't like it (or emacs :P), but will use it in a pinch.

Misc:
GIMP - Makes bitmaps...
Inkscape - Makes vectors...
Audacity - My general-purpose audio workhorse.
LMMS - For when I pretend I can make music.
Renoise - For samples that LMMS doesn't have.
