I'm not sure of the experience level of the participants here,
but I'll post this thread since this tutorial board is rather bare.

In many of my older projects, I've used this handy tool,
A program for making 2D computer games called Multimedia Fusion 2!

Though I don't have any tutorials of my own, I can point you in the direction
of a trial version of the software and some examples with valuable instruction.
